Camp Victory is seeking two summer interns to support environmental education programs at our beautiful nature center. Hired interns are expected to work 36-40 hours per week on a flexible schedule. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. Each position will carry a summer stipend of $2,500-3,000 plus room and board.
Undergraduate students from local colleges are welcome to apply for the 2015 summer internship program, which runs from June 1st through August 14th. We are interested in applicants who: 1) have an interest and/or experience in environmental education, 2) are willing to develop educational resources to accommodate the educational needs of young people, and 3) are comfortable working with a diverse population of special needs children.
Our summer interns provide environmental education programs to young campers and local school children, explore resources from our 120 acres of fields, forests, and wetlands, collaborate with local and regional environmental education partners, and participate in the development of resources essential to a comprehensive environmental education program, including the creation of nature trails and interpretive displays.
Applicants should prepare a cover letter addressing the three requirements noted above. Email your cover letter and a resume as attachments (Word or PDF files only) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include contact information for at least two individuals who can attest to your personal character and qualifications for our internship program. After initial screening of applicants, we will invite select candidates for a personal interview. Candidates must have/or be able to obtain: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance, and Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance. Closing date for all applications is February 28, 2015.
